Frequent Questions asked at Uttoxeter Hypnotherapy
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is wonderful way of helping people with many different problems. The word Hypnosis comes from the Greek work "Hypnos" which means to sleep. When in hypnosis you are not exactly asleep just very very relaxed. It is a very to simple way to release panic, anger and anxiety and to replace it with a feeling of relation and well-being.
What is the difference between therapy and analysis?
Hypnotherapy is usually a one off or occasionally two session treatment that is used for resolving things like:
Smoking
Exam Nerves
Weight loss
Nail biting etc.
Hypnoanalysis is used for treating deeper rooted nervous problems such as anxiety, fears and phobias.
Analysis is a longer process which typically takes between 6 and 12 weeks using pure Hypnoanalysis, as pioneered by the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts, to release bottled up emotions and get to the root cause of the problem.
Do you treat children?
Yes, children with problems respond very well to a treatment called 'blow-away'. This is always conducted with at least one parent present, preferably both parents.
